On the 29th of October all travellers will have the opportunity to bring along a cabin luggage of maximum 10 kg and dimensions of 55/40/23, all included in the ticket price. Owen Jones, corporate director of Wizz Air, comments that the cabin luggage creates confusion among the passangers of Wizz Air in comparison with the rest of the airlines.This is one of the reasons why Wizz Air introduce the change this autumn. During the year of 2012 the airline reduces the size of the allowed cabin luggage to 42/32/25, which equals to on little travel bag or backpack. These sizes are still active today.
On the 29th of October the airline will intorduce the new regulation and the travellers will have the opportunity to bring along suitcases with sizes 55/40/23. Wizz Air calculated that this change equals more than 50% compared to the old cabin luggage size (42/32/25). Thus, the hungarian airline turns into more competitive with low cost airlines like Ryanair and EasyJet.

The new charges will apply from October 29. Any customers travelling after then who have already bought a hand luggage allowance will have the money refunded, plus a 20% bonus.
A research among more than 80% of the pasengers of Wizz Air show that the clients vote for WIZZ with a really high ratings when it comes to client services on board, kindness and professionalism. Wizz Air keeps contact with every customer and values every feedback given back to the company. The airline thinks that the new change will increase the passengers' pleasure of travelling with the hungarian company.
Today the airline also announces a new service option for passengers called WIZZ Priority. Valid on all flights from today, WIZZ Priority now includes:
- Priority boarding;
- Passengers able to bring an additional small bag (maximum dimensions of 40x30x18cm) into the cabin;
- From 29 October, a guarantee that hand luggage will be placed in the cabin (also available for passengers when purchasing WIZZ Go, WIZZ Plus and the WIZZ Privilege Pass).
